Eco-Environment, Starting TODAY!

We all want to reduce our carbon footprint and create a happy, healthy home. But, it seems so many looming questions can get in the way from beginning our journey to positive living:

•Where do I start?
•How much money does it cost?
•Do I need to bring in an expert?
•How do I break old habits?
•How will I get my family on board?

There are simple steps you can take right now – today – that only cost your ‘time’ and ‘commitment’. Transitioning to a greener lifestyle is a process, not an abrupt overhaul. This transition requires only a starting point and weekly, if not annual, goals. Step one is merely a realization that you desire a positive change in your life – it is as simple as that!

Jen’s Anti-Oxidant Beet Soup

*Using only a few simple ingredients:
Beets are known for their blood cleansing capability and include iron, vitamin A, C, B1 and B2. The leaves are somewhat bitter, but they have a lot of chlorophyll and a higher nutrient value than the root.

You will need 4 whole beet including the stems and leaves, organic butter, organic vegetable (or chicken) broth, 1 clove of garlic, Braggs™ Amino Acids and Pepper.

First you will need to cube the beets and Saute in the vegetable broth until tender. Next you will need to sauté the stems, leaves and sliced in butter until slightly soft. Add the stems, leaves and garlic to beets and cover with the remainder of the vegetable broth. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add Braggs Amino Acids and Pepper to Taste.

*Nutrient Tip: Never boil soups (or any other foods, really) as they lose their nutrient value.
